PVSmile will take part in the online webinar “Scaling Solar Energy Communities in Europe: Innovation & Citizen Engagement”, taking place on Monday 22 June, from 11:00 to 13:00 CEST, as part of EU Green Week.
The event will also mark the official launch of the SOLHUB Cluster, a new collaboration between three Horizon Europe projects: PVSmile, SOCIAREM and INNO-TREC. Together, the projects are working to support the development of more innovative, participatory and sustainable solar energy communities across Europe.
PVSmile will be represented by Vassilis Kalavrouziotis, Research Associate at the Energy Policy Unit of the National Technical University of Athens. His presentation will focus on how digital technologies, artificial intelligence and new governance approaches can contribute to smarter and more sustainable photovoltaic systems.
The webinar will also feature a roundtable discussion titled “Scaling Renewable Energy Communities: Fair, Digital and Nature-Conscious PV Solutions”. The session will explore how renewable energy communities can grow while taking into account environmental protection, responsible land use and meaningful citizen participation.
The launch of the SOLHUB Cluster represents an important step in strengthening collaboration between European projects working on citizen-driven solar energy solutions.
